Personality:
Shardfang has been considered strange ever since he was a kit. He speaks oddly, often using metaphors so obscure as to be hard to understand. He's easily distracted, and often seems to be lost in his own little world.

Biography:
Shardfang was born in Iceclan to Whitetail and the leader of the clan, Rainstar. He had trouble getting along with the other cats in Iceclan, until a hotheaded warrior named Snowfall decided to make an effort to reach out to him. Snowfall became his mentor, and the two developed a strong rapport.

Early into his apprenticeship, Whitetail died unexpectedly. It happened while she was out of the camp with her mate, Rainstar. Rainstar claims that the cliff they were near crumbled, and Whitetail fell into the ocean.

Shardfang has always found that story a bit suspicious- why was Whitetail so close to the cliff? Why wasn't Rainstar? Could it really have collapsed with no warning whatsoever? When he voiced these questions, Rainstar was deeply hurt, and refused to answer. There has been a wedge between Shardfang and Rainstar ever since.

Much later, when near the Fireclan border, Shardfang saw a Fireclan cat, but he got the feeling that something was strange. He called to her, and asked her to walk with him. She was surprised by this, but obliged him. Back in Iceclan's camp, Shardfang and his clanmates learned that she was fleeing Fireclan due to feeling unappreciated. At Snowfall's urging, Rainstar allowed this cat, named Thunderstorm, to join Iceclan.

In time, Thunderstorm and Shardfang became mates. He feels a sense of comfort near her, and he appreciates the way she listens to the things he has to say without judgement, even when they don't seem to make sense.
