Ability:
Intimidate - Blitz may be small, but he's at home in a battle. He has an overpowering confidence that makes others hesitate when attacking him.
Moveset:
Crunch - Blitz channels malice into his fangs and bites down hard. This attack can be used to tear through various materials.
Wild Charge - Blitz surrounds his body with wild electricity, and charges recklessly at a target. Using it hurts him as well.
Charge - Blitz pauses to absorb electricity from the atmosphere. This leaves him vulnerable, but makes his next electric attack stronger.
Disharge - Blitz forcibly releases electricity stored in his body, striking everything (and everyone) nearby.
Personality: Blitz will be the first to tell you he's at the top of his game. He's confident and enthusiastic, ready to throw himself at any challenge. He can come off as a smug jerk, talking himself up and not always noticing the feelings of others. He admires people he thinks are strong. He's not cruel to people he thinks are weak, but he sees them as needing his protection- often to the point of being condescending.
Virtues:
Brave - Blitz does not hesitate in the face of danger. Even if he has doubts, he's willing to face them head-on.
Driven - Blitz won't let anything stand in the way of his goals. If he wants something, he'll put everything on the line to make it possible.
Confident - Blitz believes he can handle just about anything, and is glad for the chance to prove it.
Flaws:
Reckless - The flipside of Blitz's boldness. He takes action with no consideration for the consequences.
Impatient - Blitz can't bear waiting around. He won't tolerate it if there's any other possible option.
Inconsiderate - Blitz doesn't give very much thought to the way others feel. He's not willfully cruel, but he has no problem acting pushy or even picking fights with others.
Backstory:
A little bit over a year ago, Blitz found himself in the forest just outside of Twist Town with most of his memories gone. The last thing he remembered was standing on a cliff, looking over a rocky plain beset by lightning, and a creeping feeling of dread.
In the forest, he was found by Blaze, who gave him a place to stay. Blaze suggested forming an exploration team, reasoning that traveling might help them find the place from Blitz's memories. Blitz first agreed out of self-interest, but quickly fell in love with exploring and helping others. He greatly admired the guild leaders, and was inspired to try and follow in their footsteps, and found an exploration guild of his own someday.
He still hopes to find out about his missing memories, but when he's really honest with himself, he loves his life the way it is now, and fears the idea of giving it up. Which makes it a bit strange that he'd be willing to compete for a prize like the one Hoopa is offering...

Blaze - Blaze is capable of great strength when cornered, and when the situation is truly dire, her fire type attacks gain a boost.
Moveset:
Ember - Blaze breathes out a small, hot flame. In addition to damage, this can be used to start a fire, or briefly provide heat and light.
Sunny day - Blaze creates a beam of light that focuses into a disk in the sky. Any heat and light shining into the disk is intensified, becoming harsh and powering up fire moves.
Reversal - Blaze draws on her fear, and channels it into an attack. If she's hurt or desparate, the attack is strengthened.
Detect - Blaze focuses on predicting the movements of another, allowing her to more easily dodge attacks. She can't keep this up for an extended period of time.
Personality: Blaze is quite timid, often second-guessing her own decisions, and not liking to take action before she has considered every possibility. She's more clever than she gives herself credit for, and has a sharp eye for detail. When situations turn desperate, she can find a surprising amount of strength within herself.
Virtues:
Knowledgeable - Blaze knows a lot about history and legends. She knows many old stories, could recognize most Legendary Pokémon, and even knows a thing or two about humans.
Careful - Blaze takes her time and plans ahead. She considers various possibilities, and notices potential dangers before they arise.
Clever - Blaze is sharp-witted, capable of coming up with a plan even when the situation is tough.
Flaws:
Timid - Blaze is easily frightened, and often lets that fear prevent her from taking action.
Indecisive - Blaze is good at coming up with ideas, but until she's sure she's figured out which one of them is the best, she can't bring herself to pick one.
Physically weak - Blaze has never been much for battling, and she struggles with tasks that call for physical strength.
Backstory:
Blaze has always had a fascination with stories and myths. She is especially interested in the ones that that speak of humans and another world. She has a huge collection of writings on the topic. She admired exploration teams, and loved the idea of traveling the world and uncovering ancient mysteries, but never quite gathered the courage to become an explorer herself.
Until she met Blitz. When she first found him- a stranger lost in the woods with missing memories, she couldn't help but be reminded of stories about humans that had made their way to the Pokémon world. When she floated the idea of forming an exploration team with him, she was surprised by how quickly he agreed. Blitz marched directly up to the guild leaders, leaving Blaze scrambling to keep up.
As they traveled together, Blaze gained a great admiration for Blitz's courage and determination. She's not given up on her interest in the human world, and when Hoopa announced their tournament, Blaze was thrilled by the possibility of seeing it with her own eyes.
Dynamic / Relationship:
Blaze and Blitz consider each other good friends, and are happy to support each other in nearly all things. Blitz often takes the lead, charging off ahead. Blaze is quick to run off after him, afraid of being left behind. On the other hand, Blitz respects Blaze's expertise when it comes to history and legends, and takes her ideas seriously. If Blaze makes a suggestion, Blitz is quick to put it into action.
